1. About MyRaceTime

MyRaceTime is operated by MY RACETIME SPORTS CONCEPTS ("we", "us", "our"), based in Abuja, Nigeria. The Platform provides tools for sports timing, event registration, results management, leaderboards, forums, e-certificates, e-bibs, and related features for athletes, event organizers, and partners.

We may also organize, promote, or co-organize specific events ("MyRaceTime Events"), which will be clearly identified.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Platform. Users under 18 require verifiable parental or guardian consent where required by law. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• Keep your account credentials secure and notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
• Be fully responsible for all activities under your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, misuse, or legal requirements.

3. Platform as Technology Provider

Except for MyRaceTime Events, we act solely as a technology facilitator. We do not:

• Control race venues, routes, safety measures, weather, or conditions.
• Supervise participants or provide on-site support.
• Guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, completeness, or availability of timing data, results, or rankings.

Use of the Platform and reliance on any data is at your own risk.

4. MyRaceTime Events

For events we directly organize, co-organize, or promote:

• Participation is voluntary and entirely at your own risk.
• You must evaluate your own fitness, health, and ability to participate safely.
• We do not provide medical screening, emergency services, or rescue unless explicitly stated for a specific event.
• Separate event-specific rules, waivers, and liability releases may apply and must be accepted.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for injuries, illness, death, property damage, or losses related to events.

5. No Medical, Safety, or Professional Advice

The Platform and any data are provided for informational and entertainment purposes only. We do not offer medical advice, health assessments, injury prevention, training plans, or safety monitoring. Always consult qualified professionals before participating in events or using data for personal decisions.

6. User Content and Data

You retain ownership of content and personal data you submit. By submitting, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to collect, store, process, display, analyze, and share it as necessary to operate and improve the Platform. You warrant that you have all necessary rights to submit such content.

7. Third-Party Integrations (e.g., Strava)

The Platform may allow optional connections to third-party fitness services to import limited activity data solely for event verification, timing accuracy, results processing, and leaderboards.

• Connections are voluntary and require your explicit authorization.
• We access only the specific data types you permit, strictly for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy.
• We comply with each service's API terms and restrictions.
• You may disconnect any integration at any time via your account settings.

8. Event Organizers (Third-Party Events)

If you use the Platform to organize or manage events:

• You are solely responsible for event safety, legal compliance, obtaining participant consents/waivers, and accuracy of submitted data.
• You agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses, or liabilities arising from your events, data, or operations.

9. Payments and Refunds

Payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers (e.g., Paystack). We do not store your card or banking details.

• All payments are final and non-refundable except as provided in this section or the specific event's rules.
• For third-party events: Refunds are determined and processed solely by the event organizer.
• For MyRaceTime Events: Refunds are subject to the event-specific policy.
• Disputes regarding refunds should first be raised with us at supports@myracetime.app.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law:

• The Platform is provided "as is" without any warranties (express or implied).
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MY RACETIME SPORTS CONCEPTS from any claims arising from your use of the Platform, participation in events, content you submit, or violation of these Terms.

12. Intellectual Property

All rights in the Platform are owned by MY RACETIME SPORTS CONCEPTS or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part without our prior written consent.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violations, misuse, or legal reasons. Provisions on liability, indemnification, intellectual property, and governing law survive termination.

14. Privacy

Your use is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains data collection, use, sharing, retention, and your rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes shall first attempt informal resolution via email to supports@myracetime.app. If unresolved, parties agree to mediation in Abuja, with exclusive jurisdiction lying with the courts of the Federal Capital Territory.

16. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures due to events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., acts of God, strikes, pandemics, government restrictions).

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

18. Miscellaneous

• Severability: If any provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
• No Waiver: Failure to enforce any right does not waive it.
• Entire Agreement: These Terms (plus Privacy Policy) form the complete agreement.
